Ethically Aware Selection identifies products crafted with sustainability at their core. Our Ethically Aware badges and detailed product descriptions help you make informed purchasing decisions, supporting more environmentally and socially responsible fashion.
Criteria for Ethically Aware Selection
We collaborate with Eco Index, an independent sustainability rating agency, to evaluate brands across environmental, social, and animal welfare criteria. To qualify, large brands must achieve a high rating, while smaller brands have slightly more flexible criteria. We automatically label all qualifying products from these brands as Ethically Aware.
Criteria include:
- Utilization of over 50% eco-friendly materials like organic or recycled content.
- Certification by reputable entities such as Fairtrade or the Forest Stewardship Council.
- Inclusion of pre-owned items to extend the product lifecycle.
